- תְּרוּפָהf. (b. h.; רוף, v. רָפַף, a. רָפָא) release, healing. Snh.100a (ref. to Ez. 47:12) ר׳ יוחנן אמר לת׳ ממש (Ms. F. לתרפיון, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 400) R. J. says, it means ‘for medicine in its real sense, v. תְּרַפְיוֹן; Yalk. Ez. 383 לתרפיון (corr. acc.).Y.Pes.I, 28a במקום התרופה, read: חתּוֹרְפָה.
